Fat is much more easily settled in our body and, as for proteins and carbohydrate, our organism makes more efforts to convert them to fat, thus, superfluous calories are burnt. For example, if you eat a 100 calorie slice of butter you spend 3 percents of calories while it’s assimilation. If you get 100 calories eating protein or carbohydrate food, their transformation to fat takes 23 percents of calories. So, exclude fat from your ration, it’s the major source of unhealthy calories. However, be careful. It’s not useful and even mistaken to refuse from fat completely, in fact many organism functions are tightly connected to it, for instance, assimilating vitamins. But it is more preferable to use olive oil, nuts and avocado that affect your heart and health positively.
