He completed his residency in 2016 and his PM&R board certification in 2017 from Emory University Department of PM&R, Atlanta, Georgia.

Heis, M.D. and Associates (The PM&R Group) as a partner and title of Medical Director responsible for performing a range of outpatient spine care, rehabilitation, and musculoskeletal care. Previously he was Chief of Medicine at Mercy Fairfield Hospital and was a medical executive Committee Member in 2019.
