Finn Higgins is a board-certified nurse practitioner, certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. After completing his MSN from Rush University, he completed his certificate in family medicine at Lewis University a few years later. He has 6 years of acute care working as a Registered Nurse in the ER, Telemetry, and Post Anesthesia Care.
Working as a PACU nurse, he became familiar with the surgical procedures that are used to address a patient’s pain.
For patient care, he focuses on Total Joint Arthroplasty of hip and knee joints, shoulder and knee arthroscopies, and multiple other complex fractures. He is trained in trigger point injections for myofascial pain, nerve blocks for neuropathic pain, and appropriate medication management.
He is interested in how to address pain outside of the hospital with treatment modalities that can help reduce surgical intervention.
