Dr. Pyles is a board-certified Anesthesiologist who is leading Spinal Cord Stimulation treatment for a range of conditions with BEST. He also focuses on the treatment of chronic, intractable pain, which has earned him a reputation as an innovator. He is known as the inventor of the Pyles needle, which is an epidural needle used in the placement of percutaneous SCS leads. Currently, Dr. Pyles has six more patents pending related to various interventional devices and techniques.
Born and raised in West Virginia, Dr. Stephen Pyles graduated from Marshall University School of Medicine. The University of Florida College of Medicine residency program in anesthesiology exposed Dr. Pyles to chronic pain treatment. He founded the Pain Treatment Center (PTC) in Ocala, Florida. Dr. Pyles’ Memberships and certificates include the Florida Society of Interventional Pain Physicians-Board Member, a member of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, the North American Neuromodulation Society, the International Neuromodulation Society, and the Florida Medical Association. Dr. Plyes is also a Board-Certified Anesthesiologist and Diplomate American Academy of Pain Management.
