Dr. Kellis is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in spine surgery, joint replacement surgery, and general orthopaedics. Through his range of specialties, Dr. Kellis treats a broad spectrum of orthopaedic conditions while utilizing the latest techniques in the field. He focuses on the nonsurgical management of conditions as a first-response along with quality hip and knee replacement surgery and spinal treatment. Additionally, he integrates surgical options such as microdiscectomy, spinal fusion with intervertebral cages and pedicle screws, disc replacement, spinal cord stimulators, pain pump implantation, and kyphoplasty.
Dr. Kellis has experienced a rich professional career starting with his academic accomplishments. In 1984, he graduated with honors from the Ohio State University College of Medicine. His internship and residency were served at Case Western Reserve University and University Hospitals of Cleveland. Dr. Kellis was a flight surgeon with Cleveland Metro General Hospital Life flight. Additionally, he completed a one-year microvascular research fellowship at Case Western Reserve University and a surgical spine fellowship at the Cleveland Spine and Arthritis Center between 1991 and 1992. Dr. Kellis has received numerous awards for his achievements in clinical and laboratory research.
Dr. Kellis is a fellow of the North American Spine Society. He instructs resident physicians in orthopaedics and lectures on advanced spinal surgery techniques.
