Dr. Willem is a double board-certified anesthesiologist and Pain Medicine for Comprehensive Spine, a part of the BEST network. He earned his medical degree at the University of Pretoria and went on to the University of South Florida to complete his residency in Anesthesiology.
He has also served the University of South Florida as Assistant Professor and Staff Anesthesiologist, Director of Pain Management Services, and Clinical Faculty. Dr. Nel joined Gulf to Bay Anesthesiology Associates after working at the University of South Florida. Dr. Nel has trained Fellows, Residents, Medical Students, and CRNAs during his career. His focus will be on improving the quality of life of patients throughout the rest of his career due to his passion for helping others.
