In 2004, I underwent a successful minimally invasive spine surgery to alleviate my chronic back pain. This procedure lit a fire inside me to advocate for more thorough and accessible chronic pain care, ultimately catalyzing a significant career change. At the time, I served as the CEO of a Golf Management and Sports Event Services firm, while also maintaining a personal passion for the game of golf. My chronic pain held me back from the activities I enjoyed the most. Discovering minimally invasive surgery allowed me to get back to a more active lifestyle and helped me achieve relief within weeks. I couldn’t help but think–why aren’t these transformative procedures more readily accessible to those who need them?

After my first-hand experience with this technology, I was inspired to invest in it and launch a company to help other patients achieve the same relief. Fueled by passion and supported by an extraordinary team, I became the founder of one of the world’s leading spine surgery practices, a healthcare marketing powerhouse, and a highly successful call center team. By the time I retired, our operations had spanned seven states, providing care to nearly 2,000 patients monthly, each on a journey to reclaim their most valuable asset: their health.

Our motivation to create this program is driven by the industry-understood challenges associated with collecting high-quality leads. Bill Horne, Chief Executive Officer

I am proud to serve as the Chief Executive Officer of BEST Health System. Previously, at Laser Spine Institute, our programs helped over 75,000 patients find meaningful relief from long-lasting spine and neck pain. Our team achieved this stunning success through the utilization of performance-based marketing campaigns combined with an efficient patient acquisition cycle that turns prequalified leads into patients. Now, I am proud to work with many of the talented leaders from Laser Spine Institute again to create a new standard of healthcare and help existing practices achieve success. 

Gary Mancini, Chief Operating Officer

Gary Mancini is the Chief Operating Officer of BEST Health System responsible for sales and marketing management, personnel development, patient service, and strategic planning. Previously, I worked with Gary when he served as the Senior Vice President of Patient Services at Laser Spine Institute. At BEST Health System, Gary leads a 150-employee call center team, has coordinated 90,000 spine procedures, and coordinates ASC and clinic operations. 

Briley Cienkosz, Chief Marketing Officer

Briley Cienkosz is the Chief Marketing Officer at BEST Health System. She specializes in direct-to-consumer marketing, cross-channel marketing, performance marketing, brand development, and public relations. Previously, I worked with Briley when she served as the Chief Marketing Officer at Laser Spine Institute, where she managed a $40M+ annual marketing budget and achieved a 30+% conversion rate. 

Mark Andrezejewski, President & Chief Financial Officer

Mark Andrezejewski is the President and Chief Financial Officer at BEST Health System. Previously, he served as the Chief Financial Officer at Laser Spine Institute, President & Chief Operating Officer at Minimally Invasive Spine Institute, and Chief Executive Officer at Alliance Physical Therapy. At BEST, Mark is responsible for financial stewardship, strategic planning, executive management, and operational focus. 

Berkay Gulcan, Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Development

Berkay Gulcan serves as the Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Development at BEST Health System, bringing advanced expertise with a Master’s and PH.D. in Industrial Engineering. With a strong mathematical modeling and optimization background, Berkay plays a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of BEST Health System’s partnership program. His contributions span growth initiatives, marketing operations, and advanced analytics, including refining streaming platforms and targeted cable television strategies to maximize impact and lead generation.

Grant Barlow, Neuromodulation/SCS Expert

Grant Barlow is our Neuromodulation/SCS Expert. Previously, he worked at Boston Scientific as a Clinical Specialist then Abbott as a Neuromodulation Senior Territory Manager. Grant is responsible for ASC development and optimization, contract negotiations, revenue cycle, and personal injury/workers’ compensation. Grant is an asset to our team and consistently works to improve the patient experience and ensure BEST stays at the forefront of neuromodulation technology.
